Placement Office
The Placement Office supports IST students and alumni in all areas of career development. The office is staffed by a full-time Placement Director and a part-time assistant. The Placement Director is Barbara W. Welsh and the current assistant is Jill LeMin.

Master of Science Program
Entry-level positions are found in reference services, indexing and abstracting, cataloging, and information systems development. Many graduates work in schools or universities, public libraries, or corporate, legal, or health care-related settings. Higher-level positions involve management responsibilities.
Master of Science in Information Systems Program
Entry-level positions are found in programming, database design, information systems analysis and design, requirements engineering, interface design, and information resources management. Higher-level positions include senior information systems engineers, chief scientists in information systems organizations, and top-level management in systems development and integration.
