Guidelines for Posting Jobs with the Placement Office
The Placement Office accepts postings for professional, information-related jobs from local employers to be posted in the office, on the Jobline Hotline, and here on our home page. We also accept postings for preprofessional work and out-of-town jobs, which we maintain in our office only.
If you have a position to post, call or FAX us with the following information:
(Phone: 215-895-2478 FAX: 215-895-2494)
- Position title
- Employer name
- Employer address*
- Brief summary of the duties and responsibilities
- Specific job qualifications
- Salary or wage**
- Specific information on how the candidates should apply for the position
* If you are a third-party firm working on behalf of an employer you must notify the office of the name and location of the actual employer. We must have this information in order to avoid posting duplicate jobs. This information will not be put on the posting and is confidential.** If you wish to omit salary information from the posting you may, but the Placement Office will need to have some idea of what the salary is in order to determine if the job is professional or preprofessional. This information is confidential.
Don't forget to include a contact person's name and phone number so that the Placement Office staff can contact him/her if there are questions regarding the posting.
